This .44 gang mold was likely produced to make bullets for Colt Model 1860 Army revolvers and is marked "89" on the right grip ferrule and also has small "S" stamps on each arm. The main body of the mold and the grips are unmarked. The mold is designed for making six conical bullets with grooves. Molds like this were commonly issued to military units to produce bullets for multiple men as opposed to issuing the single or dual cavity molds used by individuals.... |
